How many guests can Burdett Hill Barn accommodate?
Our barn comfortably accommodates up to 100 guests for indoor events. By utilizing our outdoor decks or adding a tent on the property, we can host larger gatherings as well.
Is the venue available year-round?
Yes! Burdett Hill Barn is fully climate-controlled, making it ideal for events in any season.
What’s included with the Weekend Wedding Party Rental?
Our Weekend Wedding Party Rental includes two nights and includes exclusive access to the barn, outdoor decks, and grounds. The rental also includes use of the lower-level party suites, which sleep 4-6 guests and feature two full bathrooms, a kitchen, wet bar, game room, and billiard table. This fee includes the cost of cleaning but does not include any on-site staffing or mid-stay cleanings.
Can I book the venue for just one day?
Yes! Single-day wedding and event rentals are available with access typically from 11 AM to 11 PM.
Are there additional accommodations on-site?
Yes! In addition to the barn’s lower-level suites, the nearby Glen Eastern Main House offers 6 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, accommodating 12-14 guests across the two dwellings, with 4 acres of outdoor space.
What is required to reserve a date?
To secure your date, we require a non-refundable $750 deposit along with a signed contract. Additionally, a $900 credit card authorization is required as a security hold. This hold will be released within 48 hours after your event, provided no damages occur.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your reservation, your $750 deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made more than 90 days before your event will receive a full refund of any additional payments made. For cancellations within 90 days of the event, no refunds will be issued. We recommend purchasing event insurance for added protection.
Can I choose my own caterer?
Yes! You are welcome to use any caterer for your event. Caterers can utilize our bar area for serving food. If you’ve rented the lower barn level, its kitchen is available for water access and keeping food warm only.
What bar service options are available?
Guests may stock the bar with beverages they purchase and provide their own bartenders. Our bar area includes cold storage, a tap system, an ice maker, and three sinks.
What furnishings and amenities are included with my rental?
We provide:
Nine 48” diameter wine barrel tables (seating 4-6 per table)
Sixty counter-height bar stools
Folding tables for dining and displays
Fifty padded folding chairs
Five round outdoor tables on the decks
Basic cleaning supplies
Basic stereo sound system with speakers
Wi-Fi
On-site parking
What do I need to provide?
You’ll need to supply linens, flatware, dinnerware, decorations, food and beverage, servers, bartenders, CO2 for the tap system, and all entertainment.
Is parking available?
Yes, we have a large parking area that can accommodate up to 35 cars. We strongly encourage guests to consider using a shuttle service for convenience and safety, especially given the steep driveway. Please note that we do not provide a parking attendant, and guests park at their own risk. We are not responsible for vehicles that may become stuck in the mud during wet conditions.
Can we use the fire pits during our event?
Yes! Our outdoor fire pits are available for guests to enjoy and provide a cozy, relaxed atmosphere for evening gatherings. Wood is available for an additional fee or guests can provide their own.
Are there restrictions on the types of events you host?
While we welcome a variety of events, we do not typically host college or university-related parties. However, we’re open to discussing your unique event needs — just reach out!
