 About Burdett Hill Barn and Rates


About Us


Located just outside of Watkins Glen, the Burdett Hill Barn property has played host to weddings, family reunions, anniversary parties and many other special events. We recently completed full renovations to the barn so it can accommodate events on a year-round basis for up to 100 guests. By adding seating on the outdoor decks or a tent on the expansive property you can play host to many more.


The Glen Eastern Main house is located just to the north of the Burdett Hill Barn and has its own large outdoor space with an additional 4 acres.


With the overnight barn package, the lower-level party suites will sleep 4-6 guests. It has two full bathrooms, a kitchen, wet bar, game room and billiard table. Combined with the Glen Eastern Main home, there are 6 total bedrooms with 5.5 bathrooms, and the property comfortably sleeps 12 to 14 guests.

 
Barn Accommodations and Rental Rates

Weekend Wedding Party Rental...your space to make the most memorable event weekend!


Burdett Hill Barn is rented at $2900.00 for two nights (Typically Friday- Sunday) and is available to you for the weekend of your event. This allows for set-up and preparation the day prior, your event the day of, and your departure by 11AM the day following your event. You have total access to the upper and lower barn for the weekend. Many wedding guests use the barn for their rehearsal dinner and ceremony at no additional cost and will stay overnight in the bridal party suites.
Add additional nights in the barn for only $950. 


To reserve a date, a non-refundable $750.00 deposit is required along with your completed and signed contract. There is a $900 security deposit which is returned following your event providing there are no damages.

Our downtown Watkins Glen home, Harbor West, is another great local property with a very different feel, Your guests can stay there and walk to the State Park, restaurants and waterfront. It accommodates 8-10 with a large covered front porch, private rear courtyard, 4 bedrooms, a private sleeping parlor, and 3 full bathrooms - LINK HERE 

Additional cleaning services can be arranged but the property is expected to be left "as you found it". We have a dumpster and cleaning items on site for the barn.

Single Day Wedding and Other Party Rental Events

Single day weddings are also welcome. Typically, you will be permitted there from 11am - 11pm.  The rate is $1900
We allow other types of events & parties but reserve the right to know the specific use outside of weddings. This barn is a labor of love, and we do not typically host college or university related events.  However, we are open to discussions if you want to reach out. Contact Us.


We have hosted car clubs, wine tastings, cardboard boat makers, after parties for Phish and other concerts at the track. This coming season we are considering live music to get the word out even more.


To reserve a date for any type of event, a non-refundable $750.00 deposit is required along with your completed contract.


Catering

You are welcome to use any caterer that you wish for your event. Caterers have full access to the large bar area for service, but all preparation is off site. If the lower barn has been rented, then the lower level kitchen can also be used for keeping food warm ONLY. In an effort to help with the process of choosing, a list of caterers is available. These caterers are NOT related in any way to the Burdett Hill Barn. 
 



Bar Service


Guests have the option of stocking the bar with beverages that they purchase and providing a licensed bartender server. We have a full bar with cold storage, tap system, ice maker, and three sinks.

Furnishings, Linens, Flatware & Dinnerware


We provide the following:
  • Nine 48”diameter counter height wine barrel tables:  4-6 per table (36-54 people)
  • Large bar standing or seating area accommodates (18-20 people)
  • Sixty counter height bar stools
  • Two 30” x 96” rectangular folding tables:  8-10 per table (16 – 20 people)
  • Four 30” x 72” rectangular folding tables: 6-8 per table (24 – 32 people)
  • Fifty padded folding chairs
  • Five round outdoor tables on the decks with seating (16-20 people)
  • Basic cleaning supplies
  • Basic stereo sound system with speakers
  • Wi-Fi
  • 4 acres of level and sloping land with fantastic lake views and lots of parking
You will need to provide the following:
  • Linens
  • Flatware & Dinnerware
  • All Decorations
  • Food & Beverage prepared off site
  • Servers / Licensed Bartenders
  • Music & Entertainment
  • CO2 for tap system
  • Clean-Up afterwards including putting trash into dumpster
